FAQ

1What is the difference between paper types that can be submitted?

REFEREED PAPERS (R-TYPE) will go a double peer-review process before the Conference and those fulfilling the reviewers’ standards will be considered for the publication in Journals Indexed/abstracted in: Current Contents – Social & Behavioral Sciences, Social Sciences Citation Index, Journal Citation Reports (Thomson Reuters), IBSS – International Bibliography of the Social Sciences (LSE); Scopus (Elsevier), ProQuest LLC., EBSCO Publishing bibliographic and research databases. Also, papers fulfilling the reviewers’ standards will have opportunity to be published in the Conference proceedings and later on published through the EBSCO and ProQuest ABI Inform publishing systems. However, the papers NOT fulfilling the reviewers’ standard will be published only on the Working Paper series CD. The status of the paper will be announced during the Conference. Status could mean that the paper is rejected or accepted (with/without modifications) for the publication in the Journals or for the Conference Proceedings. The authors of the accepted papers will be required to declare whether they accept the proposed status of the paper, and their willingness to make the changes indicated by the reviewers (July 10th 2017).

Having declared their willingness to follow the reviewer's requirements, the author(s) agree to the following:

  • to guarantee that the submitted paper has not been published, accepted for publication, or is under consideration for publication elsewhere; and
  • to release the copyright to the Faculty of Economics of the University of Split.

PAPERS IN PROGRESS (S-TYPE) will be discussed during the Conference and published only on the Working Paper series CD.

Having declared their willingness to be published only on the Working Paper series CD, the author(s) does not need:

  • to guarantee that the submitted paper has not been published, accepted for publication, or is under consideration for publication elsewhere; and
  • to release the copyright to the Faculty of Economics of the University of Split.

Papers for PHD WORKSHOP (P-TYPE) will be discussed during the Conference and published only on the Working Paper series CD.

The workshop welcomes submissions by PhD students at any stage of their PhD, as well as students who complete their PhD in 2017. We are not looking for completed papers only, early stage papers are also very welcome. The objective of the PhD Workshop is to give PhD students the opportunity to present their research in progress in a conference setting and to get feedback from peers and senior economists. The peers and senior economists will provide guidance on how to successfully carry out research in the economics domain. The authors should present their work in 15 minutes. The papers will be afterwards discussed by a discussant for 5 minutes and open to a 10 minute discussion. Proposals are welcome in the all fields of economics.
